phew, what a busy one.

prepped the ammobox and the nomad jacket has everything ready to go, tickets are booked and the kit is ready.  i'm heading out in under an hour to grab a train up to exeter for wearelikeminds till friday afternoon.  it's been a rollercoaster ride over the last few weeks with events and conferences in and out of the country and it looks like it's not going to stop until december time.

in the middle of this as i was packing to get my ammobox kit ready for an 'ontheground' event i found the time to do some video media for my brand advocacy for watch.tv (verisign) about how to be prepared as a brand advocate for a conference.

i made six episodes covering the prep, tech, process and applications which i'm hoping you will find useful.  i'll be releasing these our via our fibrecamp channel on showyou (which btw, if you have not checked out yet - download from the app store) once we have our feeds problem locked down and submitted the projects rss feed.

for now you can get them in this playlist embed.  just start at the top and let it play through each section - a little bit of information under thirty minutes about how to prepare, what kit to take and a little bit about the nomad jacket and how that helps me as a media maker on the ground get the interviews i need.

time flies.

the conference is in it's final phase today with lots of great sessions still to go too. i've been dipping in and out of interviews and chats with people the last few days and it's great to see this focused group of people at the very first sxsw powered eco event.

it was very last minute for me to make it out to sxsweco but i'm glad i did, even if we receive very sad news of steve jobs passing during our conference - i'm still in shock about that. not that it was not going to happen but i guess you just feel surprised when it does.

the general mode here is that people are pushing for solutions and that people are looking to merge the tech world to help communicate their stories more - for me, this fits exactly the ideas behind fibrecamp and thelivingark project.

most people have labeled the livingark project 'interesting' when i've talked with them about it which i could only take away from that they meant that it was something that seemed like a really awesome project but would be so hard for them to do something similar because of the work arena, lifestyle they have. i can understand this.

i think with a project like the ark you need to have had something really jarring happen to transition to a place of building an ark (no, not like noah!)

i really enjoyed mark tercek keynote yesterday, most sessions have been not overly scary stats but balancing it out with what is happening to balance things out. i was super scared about the amount of plastics going into the oceans thou.

i think someone should organise an event with youth groups to help go and clean up the oceans and look at technology to take those plastics and repurpose them - after all we saw those 'light bulb' bottles with water and i think bleach recently.

looking forward to the rest of the day 'ontheground' soaking up the event and talking to people while i'm here. i've given away nearly my complete set of ark cards so i've certainly got the message out there about the ark.

yes, we actually got it posted and done in the middle of all the madness - things are running full tilt at the moment. not with planning but with actual get in there and get it done - the collaboration with myself and cj has gone up a notch as things are fitting into place with the studio and the services it can offer. we are nowhere near into the 'flow' of scheduled recordings but i can now see what that looks like.
