great turnout!
we had about eight or so gamers (mainly console) and the conversation was flowing about show content, notification and what would make a great initial series. the web show will be recorded at http://fibreca.mp at @lacemarkethouse and will build up to a series of regular gaming events to be hosted at either antenna or if and when the connectivity improves at baabar (once we have the numbers) as that space is more akin to the crossover of gamers we want to see.
we (me and jag) feel the gaming community is under serviced with gamecity and that a huge cross section of the local gamers are not being catered for. we want to build a solid community gamers of nottingham guild that can communicate the wants and needs of the massive amount of students and gamers that exist in the city. *update*we move fast around here so this is what we have done so far in 24hrs
- setup for doing events every monday between 6pm>8pm
- booked antenna for the 22nd of october for a launchparty
- got the media section sorted for doing a 1v1 on a massive screen on the xbox
i'll be entertaining a few pints this evening in the realms of @antenna_uk to see what this gamecitynight involves. i'm sure i can do it. although i really should probably be resting up.
back in the studio tomorrow mind.
blimey. the world of gaming moves at a pace these days. conductive strips to replace numerous hot key commands with simple hand gestures.
