good while it lasted, goodbye old friend. seesmic.tv RIP
it will be a shame that seesmic.tv will go down tomorrow. i need to record an audioboo about what was the awesomeness that was seesmic, the fact that the threads of conversation will probably be consigned to the depths of nowhere are a big shame. having all of my videos will be great but it’s just a shame that they will no longer make much sense if they are not able to be played in the conversation format thread that they existed in.
if i was a smart bear, i would work out how to stich together all the public threads and release those somewhere into an archive.org location – but that’s me, because i do things that have an archive value later on.
it’s a shame we throw money at things that have so much potential to fundamentally change the way people interact with one another only for them to be ripped away because of maintenance, market share and lack of future vision.
RIP seesmic. i knew you so well.. .
